i just posted 4 entries in rapid succession. if you just opened this entry, you'll have to go back a few (to the 'warning') for it to make any sense. then it may, if not likely, still won't.
regarding jwb...
i remember one night last feb. the muse came upon me and i wrote, longhand -- in other words there are no copies -- 8 pages of haiku for him, about him, on my feelings for him. he suddenly appeared at the house and i folded them up and slipped them to him and said 'read later'. well, later i got an email from him saying he cried and that he put them in a safe place and would pull them out any time he felt sad or lonely. i can't post those poems. i don't have them. he's probably thrown them away. maybe not. i can't second guess him.
regarding others...
so many people, so many events in my life. left open to wander the mind recalls so many, so bizarre things. many of them are apparently insignificant. so why remember them? doesn't matter. those turn out to be the funnest to remember anyway!
regarding dogs...
dogs are essential. they are the purest form of love. i have three big boys who would add up to about 250 lbs. together. my definition of of 'dog' is whether or not i have to bend over to touch him. i could talk about each at length. maybe someday i will. they all worship me. i wish i could find within myself what they see. one of the bumperstickers on my truck says "lord help me be the person my dog thinks i am."
