A fabulous woman who reads my drivel and writes me wonderful thoughts just asked me about Iliad translations available online. I wrote to her, but for the love of Homer I thought I'd share this with everyone. All the online ones are soporific. (Look that up in your Funk & Wagnalls! (And oral sex from me for anyone who remembers that retort!)) If you don't have an F&W, soporific is another way to spell Sominex.
Anyway, Amazon has used copies of the Lombardo translation starting at $7.38, and used Lattimore starting at $2.50 -- new for $11.20.
